Three Camel Lodge is a pioneer of ecotourism in Mongolia. The lighting at this award-winning lodge is powered by solar panels, and further reduces its carbon footprint through local sourcing — including from its own onsite organic greenhouse. They have also developed several innovative conservation programs, including a reforestation initiative that has planted more than 12,000 trees to prevent desertification, and created community partnerships to protect the area's rare wildlife, including the elusive snow leopard.
Three Camel Lodge supports Mongolian music, dance, art and artists from traditional to modern throughout the country. They also support the Arts Council of Mongolia, the National Horse-headed Fiddle Ensemble, and the Gob's Hanhongor musical school, and proudly employs 100% Mongolian staff, including full-time local community members.
