We are committed to positive and transformative impact. Here are some ways they do it at andBeyond Kirkman's Kamp.

Thriving Wildlife
Sabi Sand Nature Reserve has long been a leopard research site. Nonprofit Panthera, which is dedicated to preserving 40 different species of wild cats, partners with andBeyond to increase resources for leopard conservation. These efforts not only promote viable populations of these large cats but also educate local wildlife management teams and assist with the creation of conservation-driven policy. Since 2018, guides at Sabi Sand have spotted 984 leopards, proving the success of the project thus far.
Protecting the Environment
Through another partnership, andBeyond and Wild Impact aim to combat the effects of climate change with the Greater Kruger Climate Resilient Communities program. The program establishes culinary gardens at early childhood development and disability centers in 17 African communities – soon to include primary and secondary schools as well. Additionally, andBeyond Kirkman's Kamp and its sister property, have their own wastewater treatment plants allowing them to reuse an average of 40,000 liters per day and more than 53,000 water bottles have been eliminated annually thanks to on-site bottling plants.
Committing to the Community
Many of andBeyond’s programs benefit South African communities, impacting locals from childhood through adulthood. Through Future Foundations, primary and secondary schools as well as medical facilities have been built to enhance the kids’ educational, social, and nutritional needs. For college-aged students, the Community Leaders Education Fund has given out over 1,200 scholarships. Additional programs offer skill development and mentorship to help Africans increase their earning potential. Plus, the Bohlabela Community Development Centre has become a training hub for artisan crafters hoping to make a living and give back locally.
