Beyond transportation, Hotel Món Sant Benet produces more than 70% of its energy through on-site solar panels and a hydroelectric turbine that saves more than 360 tons of CO2 each year. Additionally, the hotel’s Fish Ramp project has restored connectivity along the Llobregat River, allowing native species to bypass artificial barriers and complete their biological cycles. The hotel also manages a riverside forest to promote local biodiversity.

Just like La Pedrera, or Casa Milà, Hotel Món Sant Benet is owned and operated by the Catalunya La Pedrera Foundation with a major emphasis on cultural heritage and enriching experiences for all. The hotel’s 1,000-year-old legacy is demonstrated through the medieval monastery and summer residence of modernist painter Ramon Casas located on the grounds. Staff also pride themselves on embracing both tradition and locality through its dining, with a Michelin-starred venue, Restaurant L'Ó, that utilizes a zero-kilometer philosophy with its own Eco-Orchards initiative and other locally sourced ingredients that support the Spanish economy.

At Hotel Món Sant Benet, all profits are reinvested into social and environmental projects that impact a collective 1.6 million people each year.
