Beyond Green Sustainable Partners

Leadership
alt

Formed in 2021, Beyond Green is committed to shining a light on global leaders in sustainable hospitality. The hotels resorts, and lodges in the brand lead by example, demonstrating how travel can be a powerful force for good while offering guests the opportunity to have more meaningful travel experiences and give back to the places they visit and the people who live there.

We partner with organizations and other sustainability leaders who share our goal to preserve the environment, create greater economic opportunity, social justice, and protect living and historic cultural heritage.

Intended to embody a universally shared global vision of progress towards a safe, just, and sustainable space for all human beings to thrive on the planet, the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) were conceived to be ambitions and challenges for developed and developing countries alike.

How we work with them

Our comprehensive brand standards are based on these goals, which are also framed into the core pillars integral to sustainable tourism: Nature, Culture, and Community. Multi-day onsite inspections are conducted to determine Beyond Green membership eligibility and repeated every two years to ensure leadership standards are maintained.

The Glasgow Declaration secures strong actions and commitment by tourism stakeholders to reduce dependence on fossil fuels, unsustainable land use, and wasteful consumption patterns that drive climate change, pollution, and biodiversity loss, and to halve global emissions over the next decade and reach Net Zero emissions as soon as possible before 2050.

How we work with them

Our parent company, Preferred Travel Group, signed The Glasgow Declaration, developed at the 2021 UN Climate Change Conference in Glasgow in September 2022, declaring its commitment to a decade of climate action in tourism.

Since 2003, The Travel Foundation has worked in 36 countries around the world to steer the tourism industry through its core principles of leadership through collaboration and action.

How we work with them

Beyond Green and our parent company Preferred Travel Group partner with The Travel Foundation to deliver our company Climate Action Plan and on other opportunities to collaborate with like-minded travel and tourism partners to achieve the goals set out in the Glasgow Declaration.
